Cyril Reddan, Dipl. Arch.
RIBA, UK Registered Architect.
I worked as an Architect with my own practice from 1978 to 2013. The practice was formed in Limerick in 1978 and later moved to London in 1989. The award-winning practice was sold in 2013 and continues successfully as B+R Architects in London today.
After the sale of the practice, I returned to Ireland and pursued a lifelong interest in photography and successfully completed with distinction, a two-year full-time course in Photography, in 2018.
Having combined design and technical experience in the construction industry with my photography expertise, I established a specialist Architectural Photography Business.
I work with the most professional, modern equipment that facilitates the best of Architectural Photography. Equipment includes; full-frame Canon EOS 5D Mark III and Mark IV cameras, numerous lenses including tilt / shift lenses which are professionally designed for Architectural Photography; removing the vertical distortion in buildings – a common problem. I also use studio lighting for specialist lighting of interiors and staff portraits etc. An onsite darkroom is used for film development, with printing also carried out on site.
To professionally record conservation projects, a full-frame Canon 35mm film camera and also a Hasselblad, 120 medium format film camera can also be used if required. Alternatively, 35mm colour slides can be provided.
